There is no Sperry hockey game next Thursday, November 24, 2016 due to the Thanksgiving holiday. We at the Sperry Marine Hockey Club hope you have a happy and safe Thanksgiving,
Even though there is no Sperry hockey during the Thanksgiving holiday, Main Street Arena will have an extended drop-in hockey session Wednesday night, November 23, 2016, 8:30 PM-10:30 PM. Cost: $15. That’s 2 hours of hockey for just $15!
For the five(!) goalies who responded to the call, we thank you. The first two signups were Brian Campbell and Leo Plaza-Ponte, so they’re in net Thursday night. Here is the roster for Thursday November 17 2016.

We are shocked and heartbroken at the unexpected passing of former teammate Sean Yemen, Ryan Yemen’s younger brother. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts are with his fiancée and family.
Charlottesville’s Main Street Arena is hosting a Sean Yemen benefit hockey game this Friday, November 11, in honor of Sean Yemen. All proceeds from the game go to the Yemen family. Game is 9:00-11:00 PM. Cost is $30 per player. Please email Joanna Greb at joanna@mainstarena.com if you would like to play or make a donation.
