Subject: SPERRY GAME CANCELLED TONIGHT, ice problems

Ladies and Gentlemen,

We have to cancel tonight’s Sperry hockey game due to ice issues at the rink. Will B just informed me that there’s been a technical issue, and they’re closing the rink today. I have no word on how long the rink will be down. If you know somebody who’s supposed to play tonight, please inform them just in case they don’t see this email.

Sorry about that, and we’ll take care of cancelling payment authorizations for tonight’s game. We’re hoping to get another one or two games in before the summer session ends.

Sperry Hockey Cancelled Thursday March 9 2017

I’m sorry to say there will be no Sperry hockey game on Thursday, March 9, 2017. This may or may not come as a shock to you. The reason for this was a rather abrupt schedule change we were handed on Friday afternoon. Min Street Arena Manager, Will van der Linde, informed us that Hockey Director, Gary Jones, had pushed the Sperry time back from its usual starting time to 10:30 PM due to the adult league hockey schedule. We knew nothing about this ahead of time, or we would’ve certainly alerted you. Because of this late game time, plus the fact that it’s the time of year when league games are plentiful and densely packed, we decided to cancel this game.

Sperry Hockey on Saturday March 12 2016 Cancelled

cancelled-200x199 Sperry Hockey on Saturday March 12 2016 has been cancelled due to an insufficient number of players.

We tried, but we couldn’t get it done. A lot of it has to do with the dense league schedule at the rink.

We only had 14 skaters. That would have been OK for a pickup game at the rink , but we still have to pay the full cost of the ice rental. So we would of lost about $90. Please sign up for the regular Thursday game instead.

For those who signed up, we’ll remove the payment authorizations from your accounts.

We’ll take a look at another weekend game down the road. Have a good weekend.

CANCELLED – no Sperry Hockey on Thursday October 22 2015

Main Street Arena has rented the facility for a wedding next weekend, and they are putting down the floor on Thursday. So no Sperry Hockey on Thursday October 22 2015.

Don’t worry, we’ll be back next week. Please visit the signup page after 9:30 PM next Thursday and the signup link for October 29 should be available.

Your payment authorization for tonight’s Sperry hockey game will be cancelled and you will NOT be charged for it.

Your sign up for tonight’s game will NOT carry over to next week’s game. Please sign up online if you would like to play next week.
